Rick is the President and founder of Demandforce and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s business. Rick started Demandforce in 2003 with a vision of connecting every small business to every consumer via a single click. Since launching a product for both the dental and automotive markets on the same day, Demandforce has always been conceived as a solution for the “front office” for businesses that can’t afford a marketing department. Prior to founding Demandforce, he was the Senior Vice President at OnStation, a $50 million venture backed customer relationship management (CRM) company. At OnStation, Berry was responsible for sales and business development where he closed strategic relationships with NAPA Auto Parts, American Automobile Association (AAA) and Progressive Insurance, among others. Prior to joining OnStation, he started the automotive division of Trilogy Software whose customers included Ford Motor Company, Toyota, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Renault and General Motors.
Berry earned a BA in Computer Science from Butler University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business.
As the Chief Sales Officer, Sam oversees Sales. Sam has a passion for sales and teaching, so it's only natural that he loves teaching people the tips and techniques to be great sales people. His proudest career achievement has been building a world class sales organization here at Demandforce since its inception, which is why he constantly walks around the office with a smile on his face.
Sam is a local boy that grew up in Moraga, CA rooting for all the local teams. Yes, even the Warriors. On any given weekend Sam can be seen hanging out with his beautiful wife, playing with his two beautiful kids or just hooping it up with some friends. And like all great sales people, Sam loves golf and really great restaurants.
Sam earned his BS in Biology from Cal Poly State University in 1994. Go Mustangs!
As Chief Marketing Officer, Patrick Barry manages the company’s product roadmap, user experience and go-to-market strategy. Patrick’s teams develop the features, messaging and corporate partnerships behind Demandforce’s growth. Previously, Patrick spent 5 years at Yahoo, Inc., where he was Vice President of Product Management, developing emerging consumer experiences for the desktop, television and mobile. Before joining Yahoo!, Barry was a venture investor, an executive at OnStation, Inc. and a practicing corporate and securities lawyer.
Patrick has a BA from Columbia University and a JD from UC Hastings College of the Law.
With 15 years of research experience, Hale turns the vision of on-demand customer demand management into reality. Responsible for technical innovation, he leads local and overseas engineering development, certification and deployment of the Demandforce software. Hale is world-renowned in the area of Internet standards and is frequently quoted in the technology press as having served on working groups in the World Wide Web Consortium, Java Community Process and other standards organizations. As Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Interwoven, he was an integral part of the executive management team responsible for field roll out of six product lines internationally.
Hale holds doctorate and master’s degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology, funded by the NASA High Performance Computing and Communications Program. His pioneering work in theories for representing corporate knowledge was featured in conference at the National Science Foundation as sponsored by the Gordon Moore Foundation.
Hoang has over 12 years’ experience in building software and internet companies. As CFO, he manages finance, operations and human resources. Prior to Demandforce, he was CEO of Unisfair (acquired by Intercall), a venture backed cloud platform for virtual events. Before Unisfair, Hoang was CFO and Chief Revenue Officer for SideStep (acquired by Kayak), a travel search site for consumers, where he had responsibility for finance, sales, and online marketing. Prior to SideStep Hoang held management position at NetIQ, a system and security software company and Deloitte.
Hoang received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from University of Southern California and is a certified public accountant (inactive).
As Chief Customer Officer, Annie is responsible for ensuring that Demandforce customers' continued success and satisfaction across the entire customer lifecycle is at the core of what we do every day. With a passion for incorporating social engagement into overall experience design, Annie threads these principles into many of the customer programs launched here. Prior to joining Demandforce, Annie spent 6 years at PGi, a virtual collaborations company, where she led the architecture of the global customer experience and retention management strategy. Other past lives include managing sales, implementations, and technical teams, sales engineering, and social & email marketing strategy design and execution.
